The IPIC Mentorship Program pairs IPIC members seeking mentoring with experienced practitioners to foster career development and facilitate integration into the IP community. The program aims to promote the transfer of experiential knowledge and to encourage mentees to acquire networking skills, develop leadership competencies, learn effective practice management and manage client relationships.
Mentors should have at least 10 years of experience in IP.
Mentors and mentees will be matched based on areas of practice, geographic location, and identified needs.

"I highly recommend the Mentorship Program, especially for mentors, as it is a worthwhile time investment. While the mentee gains insights as to how to develop valuable skills, the mentor gets to see the IP profession from another (and likely different) perspective. Doing so encourages both the mentor and mentee to think “outside the box” about business, professional and personal development."
Mark Penner, Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP
"The IPIC Mentorship Program is particularly worthwhile to new professionals who work in small firms and who do not have the benefit of working in larger organizations with more experienced professionals to serve as mentors. I endorse this program and encourage other senior professionals to participate."
Brian Lee, Gowling WLG
"Being an IPIC Mentor has been highly rewarding. I have met some amazing rising stars through the process, and it feels great to give back to our IP community."
