Résumé :
2015 marked the 50th anniversary of the private copying regime that was instituted by the German copyright legislation of 1965. At the time, it was the first copyright regime to link a copyright exception to collective management. Remunerated exceptions in Canadian copyright law are not the norm, and the author identifies the difficulties that come with this conception of a copyright regime. Halfway between exclusive rights and free exceptions, remunerated exceptions suffer from an image problem that flows from the various interrogations that this legal technique raises.
