IPIC Member, John C. Cotter, appointed as associate judge of the Federal Court!
Last week the Honourable David Lametti, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, announced the appointment under the judicial application process established in 2016 of IPIC member John C. Cotter, Partner at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP in Toronto, as associate judge of the Federal Court.
This process emphasizes transparency, merit, and the diversity of the Canadian population, and will continue to ensure the appointment of jurists who meet the highest standards of excellence and integrity. John has been a member of IPIC for over 37 years and has participated on numerous IPIC committees including the Conference Committee, Litigation Committee, Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee, Internet Committee and chaired the Anti-Counterfeiting Committee twice.
