IPIC Announces Inclusive Rebrand of Former Young Practitioners Group (YPC) and Launch of NEW Networking Group!
IPIC knows that to best promote EDI practices one must lead by example, for this reason, in collaboration with the members of the Committee formerly known as the IPIC Young Practitioners Committee, IPIC has rebranded this committee which moving forward will be known as the IPIC Emerging Leaders Committee (ELC)!
The rebrand was done with the purpose to better reflect an already fantastic group with an already inclusive definition. The IPIC Emerging Leaders Committee (ELC) is open to IPIC members (excluding Fellows) who have been in practice for less than ten years. The mandate of the Committee is to serve the interests of these emerging leaders in the practice of intellectual property including providing professional development and networking opportunities, and outreach to existing and new potential student members.
And there’s more! The launch of a NEW community networking group that will be managed by the newly rebranded IPIC Emerging Leaders Committee (ELC), the new community will be known as the IPIC Emerging Leaders Networking Group.
The *NEW* Emerging Leaders Networking Group is a new IPIC Community that will provide opportunities to get involved, learn, and network with others. All emerging leaders (those with less than 10 years of experience in IP), and student members, are encouraged to participate and sign-up.
Networking events for the community will be organized by IPIC’s Emerging Leaders Committee (ELC) and will provide an opportunity for members beyond the ELC to participate in these activities. Joining the Emerging Leaders Networking Group will also provide those who wish to learn more about the role and initiatives of IPIC’s active ELC the opportunity to do so.
