We have an exciting opportunity for a Patent Agent with a background in software or electrical/systems engineering who is keen to continue to develop their technical expertise in our supportive and co-operative environment. Candidates must have 2 to 5 years of experience after having qualified as a Registered Patent Agent in Canada. Candidates must also have strong technical skills, academic credentials and written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities include patent drafting and prosecution, preparation of patentability, infringement and validity assessments, and patent portfolio management. The successful candidate will have opportunities to work with our lawyers on patent litigation matters. This position is based in Toronto; however, we would consider strong candidates who wish to work from another location in Canada.
