Licensed Canadian Trademark Agent (5+ Years’ Experience)

Coastal Trademark is seeking a Licensed Canadian Trademark Agent to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with at least five years of experience to work on a diverse range of trademark matters in a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Managing Canadian trademark applications from filing through to registration
-Advising clients on registrability, clearance, and brand protection strategies
-Drafting and responding to examiner’s reports
-Handling opposition and cancellation proceedings, including preparing evidence, drafting pleadings, attending oral hearings and managing deadlines
-Coordinating with foreign associates on international trademark portfolios
-Conducting trademark searches and providing risk assessments

Qualifications:

-Licensed Canadian Trademark Agent in good standing
-Minimum of five years’ relevant experience
-Demonstrated experience in opposition and cancellation proceedings
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
