This webinar will offer U.S. and European perspectives on trends and developing issues around hi-tech patents and best practices for the drafting and prosecution of these patents before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the European Patent Office (EPO).

Among the topics that will be discussed are:

  • Patentable subject matter relating to hi-tech and strategies for protecting otherwise non-patentable subject matter;
  • Written description and enablement requirements for hi-tech patents;
  • Pitfalls of drafting hi-tech patents for multiple jurisdictions and specific considerations for the U.S. and Europe.
