TRAILBLAZERS: An Evening to Celebrate Women in IP, Science, Technology, Engineering & Math

WING members across Canada are celebrating World Intellectual Property Day by inviting women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to join us for a networking evening in which we celebrate our successes. This is a national event, with locations in Halifax, Montréal, Ottawa, Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver.

We believe that women in IP, many of whom started in STEM, face many of the same challenges as women in STEM and that it is important to share not just our challenges, but also our achievements.

For our inaugural event, we are going to briefly feature the stories of three women who have been trailblazers and inspirations for all of us. The three featured trailblazers are:

  • Joan Clark, O.C. founder of IP group at Ogilvy Renault
  • Ulrike Bahr, President and CEO, Digital Nova Scotia
  • Doina Oncel, founder of hErVOLUTION

We will also be taking a few minutes in each city to share the great work being done by the STEM-focussed organizations that are joining us.
