NEW PATENT RULES: OCT. 30, 2019
The long-awaited new Patent Rules were published on July 10, 2019, in Canada Gazette, Part II.
Coming into force on October 30, 2019, the new Patent Rules will introduce sweeping changes to patent practice. In an effort to help members navigate through the changes and prepare their practice, IPIC will offer a 4-part webinar series on August 20, 21, 22 and 23. Each webinar will take place from 1 - 2:30 pm ET.
August 20 - Direct Filing, Priority, Representation
August 21 - National Phase Entries, Compliance, Examination
August 22 - Allowance, Corrections, Title Documents
August 23 - Maintenance Fees, Due Care, Third-Party Rights, Communications
