It is an unsettling experience for a client to receive a statement of claim alleging that it has infringed someone’s copyright. This webinar will help you advise clients on the potential consequences of their actions, including the following range of remedies available to a copyright owner in the context of a copyright infringement case: 

  • Recovery of a copyright owner’s actual damages and an accounting of profits resulting from an infringement
  • Statutory damages as an alternative remedy to actual damages/profits
  • Injunctive relief, including preliminary and wide injunctions
  • Site-blocking and de-indexing orders
  • Removal of content
  • Delivery up or destruction of goods
  • The copyright owner’s legal costs
