This roundtable will bring together professionals and experts to learn and engage in meaningful dialogue around key developments, challenges, and trends in the PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) system. Presentations will be delivered in person by representatives from CIPO and WIPO, offering valuable insights and direct engagement with key stakeholders in the PCT system. 

Topics to be Covered:

• WIPO PCT updates
• CIPO PCT updates
• ePCT tips and tricks
• Best Practices during the international phase, including filing and post-filing
• National phase entry considerations workshop
• Restoration of right of priority and PCT due care workshop
• PCT safeguard provisions workshop, including inventor privacy, sensitive information, rectification of errors, who to contact when things go wrong

Dates:

• Day 1 – Tuesday, November 18: Full-day session (in-person and virtual option available).
• Day 2 – Wednesday, November 19: Half-day session (morning) with in-person attendance only and an optional CIPO Tour (afternoon).

While hybrid participation is available on Day 1, we strongly encourage all members to attend both days in person to maximize engagement, networking, and collaborative opportunities. Day 2 will feature exclusive, interactive workshops that require physical presence.
