The Tutorials consist of four mock exams modeled after CPATA’s Skills Exam. The mock exams will be distributed to candidates on July 6, 2026. All candidates will be required to submit written answers by August 3, 2026.
Answers to the questions will be marked by tutors and reviewed in four virtual sessions each covering a component of CPATA's Skills Exam on the following dates:
Part 1. A. − DRAFTING & STRATEGY

Orientation Session - Wednesday, July 8, 2026 / 1 - 2 pm (ET): Join the tutors and gain valuable insights and tips on how to effectively tackle and complete the mock exams.
The Tutorials are primarily intended for feedback and discussion of the mock exams. To obtain the optimum benefits from the Tutorials, it is recommended that students have completed both modules of the Patent Agent Training Course – Infringement & Validity and Drafting & Prosecution, or have in-depth experience in the area of patent practice.
IPIC Member 1-2 sessions: $499 plus applicable tax
IPIC Member 3-4 sessions: $699 plus applicable tax
Non Member 1-2 sessions: $799 plus applicable tax
Non Member 3-4 sessions: $999 plus applicable tax
Students who registered for at least one module of the 2026 Patent Agent Training Course will receive a 15% discount on the 2026 Patent Agent Exam Tutorials tuition fees.

Financial aid may be available for students whose tuition fees are not paid by an employer. Applicants will be considered on the basis of their gross annual income. Please contact the IPIC office at education@ipic.ca.

A refund is available up to and including July 2, 2026 less a $50 cancellation fee (plus applicable tax). Refunds will not be issued after July 2, 2026, but substitutions will be considered.
