Influencer marketing has become a powerful tool for brand engagement, raising unique intellectual property and contractual challenges. This webinar will equip legal and business professionals with the knowledge to advise clients on the legal frameworks affecting influencer marketing in Canada, ownership of influencer content, key terms in brand agreements, and emerging risks and opportunities posed by artificial intelligence.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand what an influencer is and the business potential they have.
  2. Understand Canadian legal frameworks applicable to influencer marketing.
  3. Identify intellectual property issues related to the ownership, licensing, and use of influencer-generated content.
  4. Evaluate key provisions in brand–influencer agreements (scope, exclusivity, non-compete terms, morals clauses).
  5. Assess opportunities and risks arising from artificial intelligence in influencer marketing.
