You spoke, we listened! The results of IPIC’s first ever Diversity, Demographic & Inclusion Survey held in 2022 revealed that Canadian IP professionals were interested in training on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI, also referred to as DEI) subjects such as Overcoming Bias. In response, IPIC has engaged the third-party service provider responsible for the survey, Global Learning Inc., to offer three (3) eLearning Modules on key EDI topics of interest.
The 3 eLearning Modules include:
This course teaches participants about forms of bias in the workplace. Participants will learn what bias is, how to recognize it, and how to mitigate the negative effects of bias in the workplace.
This course serves as an introduction to understanding the key areas of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Participants will learn DEI terminology and the importance of these DEI concepts in the workplace. This course is designed to provide foundational knowledge of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Inclusive Culture is an important and multi-faceted DEI principle. This course covers the concepts that are needed to achieve an inclusive culture. Participants will learn how to apply inclusive communication elements in their workplace.
When all three modules are complete you will be eligible for 1 hour of CPD accreditation as follows:
