Best Practices before the Patent Appeal Board

Held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, 1 pm - 2 pm ET

In this webinar, members of the Patent Appeal Board (PAB) and an experienced patent practitioner will share their insights for best representing your client’s matters before the Board. Topics covered will include:

  • Drafting persuasive submissions – What does the PAB find particularly helpful or sometimes missing from applicant submissions?
  • Presenting evidence – What kinds of additional evidence may be submitted to the PAB, and when? How important is applicant-submitted evidence to the PAB when assessing obviousness and subject matter eligibility?
  • Appearing before the PAB – How helpful are oral hearings in practice? What are the differences between appearing before three-member versus one-member panels?
