Consultations on Potential Free Trade Agreement Negotiations with Trans-Pacific Partnership Members (First set of comments provided)

DFAIT requested comments in consideration of how IP issues in the TPP affect or could affect Canadian businesses.

IPIC's Position

IPIC presented an overview of negotiating positions and other relevant information regarding the known IP approaches of various countries participating in the TPP negotiations. The areas of principal objection in the TPP pertain to copyright and pharmaceutical issues.
