We are currently looking to add a Patent Agent or Patent Agent Trainee to our Electrical & Mechanical Patent practice group. In this role, you will work closely with world-class leaders in IP helping our team create business value by managing, obtaining and leveraging IP assets for the benefit of our clients. The right candidate will find many opportunities to learn and grow within our Firm.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s and/or PhD degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering;
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in patent drafting and prosecution in a law firm context or in a corporate (in-house) IP group;
- Strong written and oral communication in English. French language skills would be an asset.
It would be an asset, but not essential, to have:
- A Canadian Patent Agent license
- A law degree
