We are looking to add additional talent to join our dynamic trademark team. The Trademark Associate will have a keen interest in intellectual property and have an understanding of trademark law and principles, as well as practical experience in brand protection matters.
You will support all trademark related needs of significant portfolios of high-profile clients throughout the world in a wide variety of industries and provide support on enforcement matters. You will also have the opportunity to work on copyright, among other matters.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an associate to gain significant IP experience working in conjunction with elite attorneys on sophisticated and cutting-edge matters.
Minimum of two to four years of experience specializing in trademark portfolio management, including clearance and prosecution.
Experience with enforcement matters, such as oppositions, cancellations, and infringement actions, and licensing and transactions, would be an asset.
• Experience working in an electronic environment.
• Outstanding communication and organization skills.
• Excellent research and writing skills, both technical and legal.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, highly responsive, and positive work attitude is critical.
• Recognized law degree.
• Licensed to practice before the Federal Court of Canada and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
• Trademark Agent designation an asset
